I've been stitching a little town.
These are felt houses with LED tea-lights inside. It is not lost on me that Thursday was a sweltering 38 degrees and today was all tropical storms and humidity. Snow capped gingerbread houses don't exactly capture the season. I've not been able to relinquish all that inherited Northern hemisphere baggage though.
As is now traditional, Christmas letters were written by candlelight. Grace had some interesting requests, including a hug (very doable) and a bunk bed (hmm, probably not).
There is beauty and danger in creating traditions. I'll be treading carefully in this particularly hectic year, to make sure that there is more joy than stress and more substance than style.
A very neat town, love when it is lit up.ReplyDelete
